Stress Away Bath Salt

Calming and relaxing lavender will help you promote a good night’s sleep and happy dreams. Adding some almond oil will make your skin soft and delicate. It’s perfect at the end of a work day. Epsom salt is rich in vitamins, minerals, trace elements and amino acids of the sea. It has a very high concentration of calcium, magnesium, potassium, sodium and bromide, minerals essential for healthy looking skin.  These minerals are essential for healthy skin and naturally alleviate redness, irritation, and swelling, especially in the blemished skin.

Soaking in mineral-rich sea salt extracts toxins from your body and relaxes your muscles. So enjoy a long moisturising soak in these replenishing bath salt.


  • 1 3/4 cups Epsom Salt
  • 1/4 cup sweet almond oil
  • 30 drops lavender essential oil
  • 18 drops rosemary essential oil
  • 10 drops peppermint essential oil

Place the salt into a bowl. Stir in the sweet almond oil in intervals. Add a little, stir, add a little, stir, until all the oil is mixed with the salt. Do the same with the essential oils. Add little and stir until all the oils are mixed.

Store in a sealed jar up to 6 months.

If you want your bath salt to look amazing you can add a little bit of food colouring. But if you want your salt to be completely natural don’t add it.

You can also add dry flowers or different herbs to complete the essential oils smells and add more healing power to your bath.

Another thing you can do is to put the salt to dry on baking paper for one or two hours.

Also, you can always replace the essential oils with your favourites ones. Here are some examples:

For a minty refreshing bath, you can use 45 drops spearmint essential oil and 30 drops peppermint.

When you feel that you get a cold use 28 drops eucalyptus essential oil, 30 drops lemon essential oils and 16 drops tea tree essential oil.

For a calming bath use 8 drops chamomile essential oil, 20 drops lemon essential oil, 20 drops lime essential oil, 30 drops sweet orange essential oil.

Add one cup in your bathtub and soak for at least 20 minutes or longer to enjoy maximum therapeutic benefits of the active ingredients. After the bath is also perfect to use a body scrub, as your skin is softened and easy exfoliated. Then rinse off in the shower to remove the toxins and sweat you released as you bathed.  Follow with moisturiser if desired.
